La video performance protagonista a Trieste con la maratona Videonotte #3

In the framework of VIDEONOTTE #3 (video performance event organised by the Casa dell’Arte of Trieste, Italy), Atelier Home Gallery hosted the videoperformace Untitled frontiers, pt. II(+III) realised by #JUHA collective.

Untitled Frontiers, pt. II (+III)

Six channel sound installation installation with video & live stream HD video, PAL, color, 16:9, 18’39“, loop, stereo sound.

Our idea is to deconstruct the media image that is mainly shown to us. We want to demonstrate how images we usually see, influenced by the sound or the story we here with it are thus a construct built in a hermetic and manipulated way with intention of serving mostly „one truth“. In order to show that there is more than one truth, we gathered voices and opinions from dierent people, from self-organized structures of volunteers, from friends who fled the war and ones who went to help the ones in need and finally, our own. We want to place you and ourselves as the observer on the same plane as the ones being observed from distance, from far, from a perspective that makes the image aired on screen often look like fiction, although shown in real time and simultaneously with other content and very real. To trigger questioning. To trigger equality. In this time of uncertainty, the only thing we find certain is that by initiating a dialogue more truths will come out, more pictures will be shown, more experience will be gathered and more people will be able to draw their own conclusion and in this way by getting to know the vis-à-vis, and fear less.
